Your center of balance gets shifted, and pregnant mothers often try to accommodate the wrong way by having bad posture. This will only aggravate your back pain. When you're sitting or standing, try to consciously pull your belly in toward your back and stand with your shoulders back.

A third tip that is very important is making sure you are getting a good night's sleep. Your growing and changing body needs that rest as that life is developing within you, but you have to make sure you are sleeping in a position that is conducive to a healthy back.

Sleeping on your left side allows optimal blood flow to the rest of your body, and you can use pillows between your legs or behind your back to alleviate any other aches you might have. If you got 7 hours before you were pregnant, try to aim for 8 hours a night to give your body that extra rest it needs.
