Inversion Tables - How They Relieve Back Pain

An Inversion Table is a device for eliminating back pain. The effectiveness has said to be near 90% of studies done my certain colleges. People have even been able to cancel their back surgeries by using the inverted method. Let us take a look how they work and why they are effective.

Inversion Tables work by decompressing the spine. Decompressing is a term which was heard from NASA during space flights because astronauts during initial liftoff where subject to tremendous gravitational forces. This gravity pull on the body not only affected the spine but other parts of the body as well. NASA didn't really invent the idea but found that by inverting their space astronauts they could return them to a normal spinal compression. Many years ago ancient scientist discovered that by inverting a person by means of pulleys and ropes that they could help eliminate their pain.

I am sure that you have witnessed many people who have shrunk in height over the years. This shrinkage is caused mainly my gravity. The constant force which holds us on earth also continues to compress our spine, which causes us to shrink. This does not happen over night but takes many years to affect us. I think you are starting to understand how being inverted stretches out our spine almost returning it to normal. This is called "inversion therapy". Getting your spine back to where it was when you where 20 may not happen but you can return to a normal painless life with inversion therapy treatments. Remember it took years to compress your spine, so it will take some time to decompress.

There have been a lot of myths about inversion tables saying they do not work, but the truth of the matter is that people just need to investigate and they will find that they do work. I must say one thing here and caution people who have high blood pressure or heart problems, consult your doctor before using an Inversion Table.

Here are a few conditions that can benefit from using an inversion table:

Spinal arthritis
Poor posture
Lower back pain
Neck pain
Pinched nerves
Herniated disc
Upper back pain
Piriformis syndrome
Sciatica
Joint dysfunction

These are just a few conditions that can be helped by using these tables. Most of these conditions either relate to the spine or injury to the back. Now if you where suffering from a chronic back problem, and lived in constant pain, would you try inversion therapy? Of course you would.
