It was suggested to me by my massage therapist that I use a massaging cushion in order to complement his work on the herniated disk that I had. In order to follow this direction, I now use the SBM 500H massaging cushion everyday and I must say that it is doing wonders for me. I should mention that before this I have never used any other massaging device except those old massagers which look somewhat like an oversized flashlight. You can secure it to some chair which you use everyday, for example, I have it secured to my office chair since I can recline back in it peacefully. The massage cushion has its own comfortable and durable cover which helps a lot as well.
The SBM 500H consists of two sets of rollers with two rollers each out of which one set covers almost two thirds of the back and the other two cover the upper part of the back and the shoulders. The best thing about this for me and for most people is that most of the tension that we have is carried in our shoulders and especially when the unit is put on the Shiatsu mode, the massage is highly vigorous and deep and provides quick relief.
The rollers can be paused at places where they are most required but after extensive use, the back often becomes numb which could be a sign of improved circulation in the back. The best feature if you ask me though is the heat function. The relief provided by the heat function is amazing and almost makes me more agile and gives a new boost of energy in a way. It doesn't get too warm either and is my favourite feature by far.
I find it very easy to fall asleep on the SBM 500H cushion even at times when I don't want to and have to stay awake. I suggest you gift this to one of your friends with back troubles as a Christmas or birthday present.
